A Yin Yoga & Sound Academy in Bali, Indonesia

Practice. Teach.
Yin & Sound.

More than a yoga teacher training — a pilgrimage held in Bali. Days woven with Yin, sound, breath, and the island's living rituals: melukat water purification and blessings from a Balinese priest.

Yoga Alliance Certified · Held in the old way

An Academy where practice and ritual are not separate things.

Yin&Sound runs Yoga Alliance-certified teacher trainings in Bali — rigorous enough to teach anywhere in the world, immersive enough to change the way you practice.

We anchor the introspective depths of Yin Yoga and Sound Healing in the living traditions of the island. Guided by experienced facilitators, your training steps beyond the studio and into authentic Balinese ritual — from Melukat water purification and priest blessings to daily offerings timed to the lunar calendar.

Explore our 50-hour to 300-hour training journeys — from your first foundation to a full professional certification. Leave equipped to teach, and quietly changed by the island and its traditions.

Why Yin?
Yin meets the body where words cannot. It softens fascia, opens the meridians, and quiets the nervous system — returning you to the silence beneath all practice.
01

Stillness

Long-held postures invite you to meet the body where it already is — without forcing, without escaping. The practice becomes a mirror.

02

Surrender

Working at the level of fascia, breath, and the nervous system, Yin reaches what an active practice cannot — and frees what has long been held.

03

Return

In the long pause between effort and rest, the mind dissolves. The breath deepens. Something older than thought — something nameless — returns.

Student Stories

What graduates carry home

Real words from students who came to deepen a practice — and left with a calling. Every cohort becomes a small, lasting family.

"Dea and Tyas are extraordinarily knowledgeable, and the atmosphere they create is so warm I felt completely at home from day one. The food, the place, the people — every detail was held with love."

"I'm teaching a lot of Yin classes now at my home studio, and I constantly get compliments on how people love the style I teach. That's entirely thanks to the teacher you are. Thank you, endlessly."

"The Yin Yang YTTC here is not an ordinary one. It's designed creatively, deeply personalised, and built around real one-to-one teacher-student time. I came for a certification and left with a practice for life."

"Meditation under the stars, the melukat at Tirta Empul, my reading with the Pemangku — these are not extras. They are the heart of the training. I arrived to deepen my own practice and left steady enough — and skilled enough — to teach it."

Not at all. Our 100-hour and 200-hour trainings welcome complete beginners, dedicated home practitioners, and everyone in between. For the 300-hour, a 200-hour certification is required so you arrive ready for the next layer.
Together with your cohort, we travel to a holy spring — traditionally Tirta Empul — where a Balinese priest (Pemangku) leads a water purification ritual. Each student also receives a private reading: a short, translated conversation with the priest offering insight into your path. Both are deeply personal, non-religious experiences. You're welcomed exactly as you are.
Yes. On completion you receive a Yoga Alliance–certified certificate that lets you teach worldwide. More importantly, you leave with the confidence and skill to lead authentic, well-structured classes.
Mornings open with meditation and an active practice; afternoons hold workshops, philosophy, anatomy, and hands-on teaching practice. We weave in surprises too — ice bath therapy, a beach day, sound healing under the stars.
Personalized mentorship, small cohorts, and a holistic curriculum that takes anatomy and alignment as seriously as energetics and philosophy. We treat the training as a transformational journey, not a checklist.
Yes — we have 24/7 medical advisory support, with a registered nurse on team. We can assist with basic needs and strongly recommend you hold travel health insurance for the duration of your stay.
Send us a message through the application form or WhatsApp. We'll reply with availability, payment options, and answer any questions before you commit.
